Acetone peroxide is fun, it really is cool, that's obvious, but the stuff is volatile. It isn't nearly as volatile as the fear mongering pussies on many websites make it out to be, but it's not ANFO. It is a primary high explosive. This means that it is heat, friction, pressure, shock (as in hitting it), and electricity sensitive, and when it detonates (the molecules fall apart and reform releasing energy in a wave through the mass) it pushes the air out of its way faster than the speed of sound. This creates something called a blast wave traveling (in AP's case) 11600 mph. This is how explosives do damage. This wave is like getting hit by anything e! lse moving 11600 mph. its gonna hurt. Acetone Peroxide is one of the most notoriously sensitive Primaries. If it touches a spark, if a person's weight compresses it, if you leave it in the sun too long, if you're unlucky enough to have a static shock discharge over it, or if you F*** up the mixing process, it can detonate.
