Titled SHUT UP AND PLAY THE HITS (the caps are intentional), the film was directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, and chronicles "LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy over a crucial 48-hour period, from the day of their final gig at Madison Square Garden to the morning after, the official end of one of the best live bands in the world," according to a description on the festival's website. According to ArcadeFireTube, Arcade Fire's Win Butler inspired the title. At the moment, it's unclear whether the documentary is the same thing as the concert film previously mentioned by Murphy. In a Facebook entry posted on October 26th, Murphy wrote: "oh--and quick thing on last show film... it's taking a long time to edit. so! rry. edit is happening in london, so it's a lot of flying. takes a long time, and then it has to be graded (didn't know any of this technical stuff before), distributed, etc. taking longer than i expected, so i'm sorry. it's coming early next year."
